Program Description

The Massage Therapy program at Williston State College prepares you to become a skilled, entry-level massage therapist ready to make a difference in people's lives. Through the art of massage and complementary techniques, you’ll learn how to address body dysfunction, promote relaxation, and enhance overall wellness.

As a graduate, you’ll be equipped to work with a wide range of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, offering clients tailored treatments for relaxation and recovery. Whether you envision yourself running your own practice or working in exciting environments like resorts, cruise lines, casinos, wellness centers, hospitals, nursing homes, or outpatient clinics, this program sets you on the path to success.

The program combines in-depth learning about the human body—its systems, functions, and responses to injury or disease—with the practical benefits of massage therapy. You’ll gain hands-on experience to prepare for a national licensing exam and develop the confidence needed to thrive in your career.

To ensure your readiness, all courses in the program—whether pursuing the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree or the Program Certificate (PC)—must be completed with a grade of "C" or higher. With this foundation, you'll be ready to start a rewarding career in health and wellness.
