Williams County Graduate Scholarship (WCG)




The WCG Scholarship is awarded to eligible Williams County high school graduates and GEDs earned in Williams County, regardless of HS graduation year. The WCG Scholarship will cover tuition and fees for a full time, degree-seeking student, up to 16 credit hours per semester for four consecutive semesters (excluding summer), so long as all requirements are met while receiving the scholarship. Failure to meet any of the terms or conditions for the qualified year will result in ineligibility for and or loss of this scholarship.

There is not an application for this scholarship. Recipients will be notified of their award status when the WSC Application for Admission and FAFSA are received and processed on or prior to the established deadlines stated in the terms and conditions.

Regional County Graduate Scholarship (RCG)


The RCG Scholarship is awarded to eligible high school graduates and GEDs earned within the regional counties identified. The RCG Scholarship will cover tuition and fees for a full time, degree-seeking student, up to 16 credit hours per semester for four consecutive semesters (excluding summer), so long as all requirements are met while receiving the scholarship. Failure to meet any of the terms or conditions for the qualified year will result in ineligibility for and or loss of this scholarship.

There is not an application for this scholarship. Recipients will be notified of their award status when the WSC Application for Admission and FAFSA are received and processed on or prior to the established deadlines stated in the terms and conditions.

Academic Achievement Award (AAA)



The Academic Achievement Award (AAA) is awarded to eligible high school graduates within the identified North-Western ND and North-Eastern MT* counties. The AAA will cover tuition and fees for a full time, degree-seeking student, up to 16 credit hours per semester for four consecutive semesters (excluding summer), so long as all requirements are met while receiving the scholarship. Failure to meet any of the terms or conditions for the qualified year will result in ineligibility for and or loss of this scholarship.

There is not an application for this scholarship. Recipients will be notified of their award status when the WSC Application for Admission and FAFSA are received and processed on or prior to the established deadlines stated below.

Other Scholarship Opportunities

WSC students have access to a strong base of scholarship resources offered through the WSC Foundation. Over two million dollars from over 45+ different scholarship funds are awarded annually.

2022-2023 AwardSpring Scholarship Application will automatically apply the student to WSC internal scholarships that they are eligible for based on a wide variety of factors such as residency, major, GPA, etc.. Student will need to register an account if they have not created one before. It is not the same as the Campus Connection log in. Priority Deadline is May 1, 2022. Final deadline is September 1, 2022.

2021 Housing Scholarship 
will cover up to $1,000 for the Fall 2021 and up to $1,000 for the Spring 2022 academic semesters. The 2021 Housing Scholarship is available to all qualified graduates regardless of year. There is not an application for this scholarship. Recipients will be notified of their award status when the student has had a successful move-in to Frontier Hall confirmed by the Housing Director. Failure to meet any of the terms or conditions listed below will result in ineligibility for and or loss of this scholarship.

Cultural Diversity Tuition Waiver is to provide educational opportunities to students from but, not limited to cultural, racial, or ethnic groups which has been historically under-represented. All applicants applying for the Cultural Diversity Tuition waiver must complete all parts of the essay questions that are a part of the AwardSpring application. If awarded this scholarship the applicant must commit to joining the Cultural Diversity Club at Williston State College during the time period that the waivers are being awarded, fulfill the minimum requirements of the club, and maintain in good academic standing. Priority Deadline is May 1, 2022. Final deadline is September 1, 2022.

WSC Student Ambassadors are a select group of students who interact with prospective students, parents, alumni, and the community to recruit. As official representation of WSC, this position is held in high honor. Members will represent students' leadership in an articulate manner, promote the positive image of WSC, and respond to the college's needs.

WSC Student Senate is an advocate for the WSC student body and acts as a liaison for students to the administration, alumni, state and community. Student Senators are a select group and are official representatives of WSC that are held high in honor. Members represent student leadership in an articulate manner, promote the positive image of WSC, and respond to the student body and college's needs.

WSC Teton Activity Board (TAB) brings new and exciting events to WSC. Members offer the WSC student body opportunities for involvement by developing, planning and executing entertainment, activities, and personal enrichment possibilities. They themselves gain experience in planning and running new and innovative events for their peers.

ND State Scholarships

ND Academic and CTE Scholarship

ND Dual Credit Tuition Scholarship - 

This scholarship rewards college students for taking dual-credit coursework as a high school student.  To qualify, students must meet the eligibility criteria, complete an application with the ND University System (NDUS), and provide all supporting documentation.

To qualify for the scholarship, students must:

  1. Have graduated from a high school in this state, or a high school in a bordering state covered under state law (N.D.C.C. 15.1-29), or have graduated from a nonpublic high school in a bordering state while residing with a custodial parent in this state, or have completed a program of home education under N.D.C.C. 15.1-23, and
  2. Have completed at least one dual-credit course provided by a NDUS institution while enrolled in high school or a program of home education, and
  3. Be currently enrolled at an institution of higher education in ND, and
  4. Have completed at least one semester, quarter or term at an institution of higher education in the state.
