Williams County Graduate, Regional County, & Academic Achievement Award

Scholarship Details:

  • Available Scholarships: The Williams County Graduate, Regional County Scholarship, and Academic Achievement Award are available for eligible high school graduates and GED holders within the 53 qualifying counties.
  • Guaranteed Tuition Coverage: Students starting in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 will have their tuition and fees covered up to 16 credits by the Williams/Regional/AAA scholarship through Spring 2026.

Important Information:

  • Terms and Conditions: Failure to meet any of the terms or conditions for the qualified year will result in ineligibility for and/or loss of this scholarship.
  • No Application Needed: Recipients will be notified of their award status once the WSC Application for Admission is received and processed.

Application will automatically apply the student to WSC internal scholarships that they are eligible for based on a wide variety of factors such as residency, major, GPA, etc.

How to Apply:

  1. Create an Account: If you haven't created an account before, you'll need to register. This is not the same as your Campus Connection login.
  2. Submit Your Application: Once your account is created, fill out the application to be considered for all eligible WSC internal scholarships.

Important Deadlines:

  • Priority Deadline: March 15, 2024

Cultural Diversity Tuition Waiver

Cultural Diversity Tuition Waiver – Promoting Educational Opportunities and Community Engagement!

Scholarship Details:

  • Educational Opportunities: The Cultural Diversity Tuition Waiver provides opportunities to students from various backgrounds, including Indian tribes and economically disadvantaged students, to benefit all students and the academic community.
  • Promote Enrollment: Aims to increase the enrollment of undergraduate students and support WSC's mission.

Eligibility and Requirements:

  • Essay Questions: Complete all parts of the essay questions included in the application.
  • Club Commitment: If awarded, you must join the Cultural Diversity Club at Williston State College.
  • Active Participation: Attend at least two meetings, help with one fundraiser, and one event each semester.
  • Academic Standing: Maintain good academic standing throughout the period of the waiver.

Important Deadline:

  • Final Deadline: May 1, 2024
  • Next Application Period: Opens on October 1, 2024, for the 2025-26 school year. (Must apply each year)

Dual Enrollment Scholarship

Scholarship Details:

  • Full Coverage: This scholarship pays for all out-of-pocket costs for completed courses incurred by the student after any other scholarships, waivers, and/or third-party payments.

Housing Scholarship

Get Help with Your Housing Costs!

Regional Housing Scholarship:

Covers up to $1,000 for both the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters. Eligible for students inside the Williams, Regional, and AAA (WRA) qualified counties.

Non-Regional Housing Scholarship:

Covers up to $900 for both the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters. Eligible for students outside the WRA qualified counties.

Scholarship Details:

  • Eligibility: Available to all qualified graduates regardless of the year.
  • No Application Needed: You'll be notified of your award status once your successful move-in to Frontier Hall is confirmed by the Housing Director.
  • Important: Failure to meet any terms or conditions will result in ineligibility or loss of the scholarship.

Doris Marcoux Scholarship
Doris Marcoux Educational Endowment Scholarship

Doris Marcoux Educational Endowment Scholarship

Doris Marcoux was a lifelong educator and established an educational endowment to assist students in pursuing a college education. As a former teacher, her endowment gives primary consideration to students planning to become a teacher and/or entering the field of education.

The funds shall be used for the sole purpose of contributing to the tuition, books, and supplies of the student. The approved scholarship amount will be paid directly to the attending College/University. All funds paid on behalf of the student must be repaid if the student drops classes, and/or withdraws during the awarded semester.

Application Requirements:

  • Submit application for the current semester on or before the deadline listed below.

Transcript Submission Requirements:

  • Full-Time College Students: Must provide most recent college transcript.
  • Incoming Full-Time Freshman College Students: Must provide final high school transcript.
  • Dual Credit/High School Students: Must provide most recent high school transcript.

Must have a minimum of a ā€œCā€ average or better.

Must be enrolled as a student at Williston State College or have previously attended as a full-time student for a minimum of one year.

Please review your application as incomplete applications will not be considered.

Consideration of Scholarship Recipients Will Be Based On:

  • Students attending Williston State College majoring in teaching or education.
  • Students attending Williston State College/High School Dual Credit students.
  • Students who attended Williston State College for a minimum of one year and are attending a post college/university majoring in teaching/education.
  • Students who attended Williston State College for a minimum of one year and are attending a post college/university.

Application Deadlines:

  • 2024 Fall Semester: August 1st, 2024
  • 2025 Spring Semester: December 22, 2024

*No distributions will be made for the summer semester.

ND State Scholarships

ND Academic and CTE Scholarship

ND Dual Credit Tuition Scholarship - 

This scholarship rewards college students for taking dual-credit coursework as a high school student.  To qualify, students must meet the eligibility criteria, complete an application with the ND University System (NDUS), and provide all supporting documentation.

To qualify for the scholarship, students must:

  1. Have graduated from a high school in this state, or a high school in a bordering state covered under state law (N.D.C.C. 15.1-29), or have graduated from a nonpublic high school in a bordering state while residing with a custodial parent in this state, or have completed a program of home education under N.D.C.C. 15.1-23, and
  2. Have completed at least one dual-credit course provided by a NDUS institution while enrolled in high school or a program of home education, and
  3. Be currently enrolled at an institution of higher education in ND, and
  4. Have completed at least one semester, quarter or term at an institution of higher education in the state.
