WILLISTON, N.D. - Gearing up for the upcoming fall semester, WSC has released its Summer and Fall 2018 course schedules, opened its housing application, and scheduled four registrations days.

Registration days assist students after they make their initial application for admission to WSC. Students can visit campus, meet with an academic advisor, select and enroll in classes for fall, obtain their student ID, receive financial aid assistance and apply for and tour campus housing.  

WSC is hosting four registration days before the Fall 2018 semester begins:  
Tuesday, May 22, 9:00am - 12:00pm
Monday, June 11, 9:00am - 12:00pm
Thursday, June 21, 9:00am - 12:00pm
Wednesday, July 11, 9:00am - 12:00pm

"WSC has a lot of new opportunities next year," explained Caitlin Pallai, WSC's Executive Assistant to the VP for Academic Affairs. "Our Agriculture program is making its full debut now that our instructor, Jessalyn Bachler is here full-time. French has also been added to our curriculum and we will now offer an AAS in Sport and Recreation Management."

"With the new educational opportunities, housing scholarships and an expanded foundation scholarship region, we at WSC are excited for the opportunities we can provide this fall," stated WSC Communications Specialist, Natalie Boese.  

Fall 2018 graduates from Western North Dakota, Eastern Montana, Southern Saskatchewan or Southern Manitoba, Canada who have either passed six credits of Early Entry (dual credit) through WSC, have a cumulative high school GPA of a 2.75+, or an ACT score of 20+ (SAT equivalent) may be eligible to receive the WSC Foundation's new Academic Achievement Award (AAA).

The Fall 2018 AAA mimics the Williams and Regional County Scholarships but expands past the nine current counties. 

The Fall 2018 AAA will cover between 12-16 credits of tuition and fees for any eligible 2018 graduates from Western North Dakota or Eastern Montana and $1500 per semester  for eligible Southern Saskatchewan and Southern Manitoba, Canadian students who plan to attend WSC this fall.

Students who receive the Fall 2018 Regional, Williams County Graduate Scholarship, or AAA are eligible for the Fall 2018 Regional Housing Scholarship ($1000/semester) once their application for admission and housing applications are completed. Applying early can help ensure housing.    

Housing rates are $2,000 a semester for a double room, $3,000 a semester for a single room. Housing applications are available to students to apply online at www.willistonstate.edu/housing. All students who are eligible for the WSC Foundation's Williams, Regional or Academic Achievement Award Scholarships must submit their Fall 2018 WSC Application for Admission and WSC Application Fee before May 1, 2018.  For more details on each scholarship please check out: http://wscfoundation.com/
