Williston, ND — Williston State College (WSC) will host a Health & Wellness Fair on Monday, October 26, from noon to 3 p.m. in the Teton Lounge. The event is open to WSC students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the greater Williston community.
The Health & Wellness Fair will bring together local health and wellness organizations and community resources in one convenient location, giving attendees an opportunity to learn more about services and support available throughout the region. WSC is partnering with the Upper Missouri District Health Unit (UMDHU), which will be on-site providing flu shots for those interested in receiving one.
“Our goal is to make it easier for people to connect with the resources that can support their health and overall well-being,” said LeeAnn Clark, Health and Wellness Coordinator and Accessibility and Retention Specialist at Williston State College.
“There are so many valuable services available in our community, and this fair gives people an opportunity to meet those organizations, ask questions and learn what resources are available to them. We encourage both the WSC community and the public to stop by and take advantage of what our local partners have to offer. We're especially pleased to work with Upper Missouri District Health Unit to offer flu shots as part of the event.”
Community Organizations Invited to Participate
WSC is also inviting health, wellness and community resource organizations to participate as vendors. The fair provides participating organizations an opportunity to connect directly with college students, employees and community members while sharing information about their programs, services and resources.
“We would love to have a strong representation of organizations from across our community,” Clark said. “The more resources we can bring together in one place, the more useful the event becomes for everyone who attends.”
Organizations interested in registering as a vendor should contact LeeAnn Clark at leeann.clark@willistonstate.edu .
