Static COVID-19 Testing Events
Posted: Aug 31 2020
The following is an update from Williston State College president, Dr. John Miller, on WSC’s response to the coronavirus (COVID-19):
Dear Campus Community:
The Upper Missouri Health Unit, in conjunction with Williston State College, will host community COVID-19 testing events on the WSC campus in the month of September. Testing events in September are scheduled for:
Monday, September 7 4:00 – 6:00
Monday, September 14 4:00 – 6:00
Monday, September 21 4:00 – 6:00
Monday, September 28 4:00 – 6:00
On these dates the parking lot on the west side of Stevens Hall will be blocked and closed from 2:30 – 8:00, so students, staff members, and visitors should park in the lot behind Stevens Hall or the lot adjacent to the Well. In addition, access to and from University Avenue via the loop will also be blocked off during testing.
COVID-19 testing events are open to the entire community, and I especially encourage faculty, staff, and students to take advantage of the opportunity and get tested. The testing is free and takes only minutes, with walk up and drive thru options both available. You can preregister for testing athttps://testreg.nd.gov/, and preregistration will further minimize waiting times and expedite testing.
Volunteers are needed to help at these testing events, so please contact me if you can assist at one or more testing events.
If you haven’t had a COVID-19 test, September is the perfect time to do so. If you have been tested, a follow-up test, now that school is in session, is a great idea.
Up to date COVID-19 statistics for WSC are available on the WSC COVID-19 webpage (https://willistonstate.edu/students/Student-Resources/COVID-19/).
As always, thank you for your continuing patience and cooperation.
Be smart, be safe, and stay healthy!
Respectfully,
John Miller, Ed.D.
