At the April 28, 2022, State Board of Higher Education Meeting, it was announced that Williston State College Associate Professor for Math & Sciences, Derek VanderMolen, has been selected as the new President of the North Dakota Council of College Faculties.
“I am honored to not only continue to represent WSC faculty as their selected representative at the state level in the Council of College Faculties, but to also be elected by CCF to help lead them the next academic year as their president,” said VanderMolen
The North Dakota Council of College Faculties provides a structure through which University System faculty may identify and share interests in teaching, research and service. CCF communicates with the State Board of Higher Education regarding issues of consensus as well as matters of concern. Other University System organizations that also contribute are the North Dakota State Staff Senate and the North Dakota Student Association.
“What a wonderful opportunity to have WSC Faculty selected as the new President of this council,” said WSC President Dr. Bernell Hirning.
