Western Star Career & Technology Center grand opening planned

Posted: Aug 11 2011
WILLISTON, N.D. - Williston State College is pleased to announce the grand opening of the Western Star Career and Technology Center. The event is planned for 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at the center, located on the east end of the campus.

"I know a lot of people have been in the building, with the motor vehicle office there, but now we have all the furniture in, the bays are set up, and having a self-guided tour might be really interesting to people, helping them see what all this building has to offer and how it will enhance our college," said Kayla Retzer, WSC Student Life Coordinator.

The grand opening ceremony will be held at 4:30, with a free barbeque and self-guided tours of the center from 5 to 6 p.m. From 6 to 7 p.m., mentalist Sean Bott will perform at the center.

"Sean Bott does a little bit of mind reading and he has a lot of great comedic timing in his performance," said Retzer. "He is also known for his imitations and voices. So this will be a great performance for people who may be looking for more than just a mentalist show."

All events are free and open to the public.
