WILLISTON, N.D. - Williston State College welcomes Dr. Pamela J. Gardner as the Founding Dean for Instruction and Distance Education.

She played an integral part in the transition to new role assignments and Carnegie designations of two higher-education institutions in that state. In addition, under her leadership, enrollments exhibited significant growth providing additional opportunities for students to expand their career and educational choices. She has successfully written several grants and acquired over $10 million in grants and appropriations at her previous university.

Dr. Gardner is the recipient of numerous leadership awards in both community and educational settings. She has received recognition from local, state, regional and national organizations, including the prestigious International Futures Award for Exceptional and Innovative Leadership in Continuing Higher Education from the University Continuing Education Association.

She holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young University.

When asked why she decided to come to Williston State College, she replied," because of the exceptional leadership and passion for education I see here. The college is poised for greatness. I'm excited to have a role in its metamorphosis."
