WSC diesel program continues to build industry ties
WILLISTON, N.D. - The relationship between career and technical education and business and industry is an important one. They are dependent upon each other and a strong partnership benefits not only themselves but entire communities.
To that point, the Williston State diesel program would like to recognize and thank Tractor & Equipment for its recent donation of a check for $10,000 on behalf of the Caterpillar Foundation. This is the second of two checks given to the diesel department by Tractor & Equipment in coordination with the Caterpillar Foundation. Their overall gift totals $20,000. The money will be used for tools and equipment, scholarships, and to help send students to statewide diesel competitions.
Additionally, the North Dakota Soybean Council is sponsoring a biodiesel seminar which will take place in the WSC diesel lab of the Crighton Buildling, Wednesday, January 29th from 10am-12:30pm. The seminar will feature presentations by representatives from the Soybean Council, and a community barbecue will follow from 12:30-2pm. Both the seminar and the barbeque are free and open to the public.
The seminar is intended to inform the public on the benefits of biodiesel, how it is processed, and what the future holds for the fuel.
