WSC continues summer internship-housing program
Posted: Feb 12 2015
Williston State College is reaching out to employers in the Williston area who need reasonably priced housing for their summer internships. For the second year, WSC will be reopening its doors to student interns affiliated with other colleges or universities. Last year, WSC welcomed interns from Minnesota to Washington in a wide array of professions and academic programs.
In order to qualify for housing, a student must be enrolled as a matriculated student in an accredited college or university, be at least 18 years old, and have an internship or supervised research program in the Williston area. The program runs from Monday, June 1st to Friday August 7th. WSC is accepting applications until May 1st, 2015. A ten-week contract is recommended, but can vary with pre-approval.
Interns will be housed in Frontier Hall, the four-story on-campus residency hall. The 85 rooms in 4-bedroom suites can accommodate 170 students. A single-suite room is $210 per week and a double room will be $140 per week. Each suite has modern furnishing, wireless internet, cable TV and air-conditioning. A kitchenette and laundry are located in the common areas.
From last year's program, five interns are still living and working in the Williston area. This commitment speaks to the quality of the community and its incredible opportunity for people from all professions in and out of the oil industry.
