WILLISTON, N.D. - Williston State College's Dr. John Miller was elected to the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors at its Annual Meeting of Membership on Tuesday, January 23, 2018.
Receiving a nomination in September, Dr. Miller and two others were presented to the Board and were later voted on by ballot in November. Board-appointed judges then counted ballots at the Chamber's annual membership meeting.
"Dr. Miller has an experienced background serving on half a dozen boards before moving to Williston and has a vision that aligns with the Chamber on bringing together groups to market Williston and maximize collaboration," stated Janna Lutz, President of the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce. "In his position at the College, he is in a place to help the younger generation begin to get involved in the community and along with the Chamber, help develop future leaders."
