WSC Nursing Program achieves accreditation status with Commission for Nursing Education (CNEA)

Posted: Oct 20 2022
WILLISTON, N.D. – The WSC Nursing program recently was granted initial accreditation with the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation, more commonly known as NLN CNEA.

The Associate Degree accreditation process goes into many different aspects of the nursing program, such as curriculum, student satisfaction, academic outcomes, self-study report and an on-site evaluation by the national accreditation agency. The total process is quite rigorous and takes about two years to complete.

“Achieving accreditation with CNEA was a team effort in the nursing department and across the WSC campus. Everyone contributed to WSC achieving this accreditation. This is something we can all celebrate together,” said WSC Nursing Program Director, Gail Raasakka.

The Associate Degree in Nursing program delivered via distance education at Williston State College is accredited by the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) located at 2600 Virginia Avenue, NW, Washington D.C. 20037. Phone 202.909.2487.
