WILLISTON, N.D. - Williston State College's rummage sale to benefit Relay for Life took place on Saturday, June 17 and raised a significant amount of money for the organization.
The sale, which took place inside Stevens Hall, earned $1,755.10 thanks to contributions from generous community members.
The event did not price any goods, instead opting to allow attendees to make free-will donations in exchange for items, which makes the amount raised especially impressive.
All proceeds from the sale went towards the Upper Missouri Relay for Life, while all remaining items were donated to The Wise Penny.
The organizers would like to express their thanks to all who came out and gave to an important cause.
The 20th Annual Upper Missouri Relay for Life will take place on July 29 and will feature live music, bingo, fireworks and other community booths and activities. The Relay is free and open to the public. Events will run from 3 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.
Look for more details at a later date.
