WSC Clay Target League Registration Feb 1-Mar 15

WILLISTON, N.D. – Williston State College’s Clay Target League, now in its second year, is looking for new shooters, and that student could be you!
Registration for WSC’s Clay Target League opens February 1, 2023, with a deadline of March 15, 2023.
A table with information about WSC’s Clay Target League will be available on February 27, 2023, in the Steven’s Hall Lobby, from 10am-3pm. Coaches Penny Slagle and Tara Blanton will be on hand to answer any questions that students may have about the program and the upcoming season. Students can also register at that time.
Given our time of the year, shooting is done virtually at the Painted Woods Sporting Range west of town. If you live on campus -all guns can be stored at the gun range in a safe.
When asked about registration, Coach Penny Slagle said, “Come and join the fastest growing and safest activity in the country! Last fall was our first season at WSC, and we took second in our conference. Both men and women of any age shoot on the same team.”
WSC Clay Target league began in January 2022 as part of the North Dakota Clay Target League and Mondak Conference, which is part of the USA Target League. Currently, Clay Target is with the Minnesota Collegiate Athletic Conference, or MCAC, and talks have been taking place to move the sport into an officially sanctioned NJCAA sport.
