WSC's Frontier Hall receives award in architecture.
WILLISTON, N.D. - Williston State College's Frontier Hall won the Juror's Choice Award at this year's North Dakota Design Conference, which took place in Fargo on September 17th. The event is hosted by the North Dakota chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a national organization whose mission is "to promote design excellence in the built environment."
Frontier Hall is the main residence hall on the WSC campus and provides housing for up to 170 students. It was built in 2010 by Comstock Construction LLC and designed by JLG Architects.
In a statement to WSC, Jim Galloway of JLG Architects said, "You have set a new direction for WSC and for the city of Williston. It is because of your vision and determination that projects like this are successful."
JLG Architects also received two other awards from the AIA for projects in Mayville and Grand Forks.
