TrainND Northwest Summer 2019 Catalog Released

Posted: Mar 20 2019

WILLISTON, N.D. - As of March 13, the TrainND Northwest Summer 2019 Catalog is now available online. Print catalogs will be available in April at the TrainND location at 415 22nd Ave NE.

TrainND's 4-month summer session runs from May until August.

Popular classes include SafelandUSA and H2S Safety Training as well as Medic First Aid/CPR/AED Training options.

"Given demand, these classes run regularly throughout the entire year," explained Bonnie Finch, Operations Manager at TrainND. "For this summer though, we also added the Medic First Aid Pediatric class that includes infant and child CPR Training as the need continues to grow."

From June 17-21, a 40-hour Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) certification course will run. This training is only offered twice a year and TrainND is one of the few training providers in the region.

The course is approved by the ND Department of Health and topics include radiation safety, dose calculations, regulatory inspections, and more. Cost of the course is $1,495.

In addition to safety and industry-specific trainings, TrainND offers a summer Leadership Series in partnership with Development Dimensions International (DDI). Classes topics include: Communicating for Leadership Success, Resolving Workplace Conflict, Coaching for Peak Performance, and Strategies for Influencing Others.

"The Leadership Series courses are designed to provide a comprehensive leadership training experience with the needs of any leader's busy schedule in mind," stated Finch. "Classes run once a month for four hours and students can select the topics most applicable to them if they are unable to attend all four."

Online versions of each class are also available and can be completed at the student's own pace.

"With warmer weather, summer is a busy time for us, particularly in the training yard," said Finch. "Summer is the ideal time of year for CDL and Crane Operator Training!"

If interested in enrolling in a course, individuals can create a student account through the TrainND website (www.willistonstate.edu/trainnd) and register online. Individuals can also call 701.572.2835 and register over the phone.

In addition to established courses and programs, TrainND can offer customized training services for industry and businesses in the area.

"We can make customizations to any of our existing programs or develop new curriculum to ensure that they are meeting the needs of your employees or specific to your company policies and procedures," explained Finch. "In addition, we are always seeking experienced professionals in all fields of business that may be interested in taking a development or teaching role on at TrainND."
