WILLISTON, N.D. - TrainND - Northwest will host its second annual Disaster & Emergency Preparedness Symposium from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23 in the Well at Williston State College.
The event brings industries, public emergency response officials, and interested parties in the Bakken Region together to learn about potential disasters and how to prepare for and respond to them.
This year's presenters will focus on various topics including industry-related emergency preparedness, public service, and medical facilities' roles in emergency response, counter terrorism, and the opioid crisis.

"We encourage individuals to attend to learn about state and community services available in the event of an emergency and to start the conversation between industry and public services about how to effectively prepare for natural or intentional disasters," explained Tanya Vachal, Business Relations and Sales Manager at TrainND - Northwest.
Early bird registration closes on Friday, October 5 and is $89 per person. After Friday, ticket prices will increase to $129 per person.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. on October 23. A light breakfast will be served. The Halliburton team will serve lunch.
Response equipment from ND Civil Support Team, Williams County Emergency Management, and others will be on display.
