WILLISTON, N.D. - Williston State College is pleased to announce Kenley Nebeker as the new Regional Director for Technical Programs and Training at TrainND starting November 13.
A native of Murtaugh, Idaho, Nebeker grew up and spent most of his life in south central Idaho. Nebeker earned his AS at the College of Southern Idaho, BA at Idaho State University (ISU), and is completing his M.ED in Instructional Technology from ISU. He also holds two secondary education certifications in Idaho and Colorado.
"When I started researching TrainND, I found its mission to provide the businesses and industry of northwest North Dakota with world class training really resonated with me," explained Nebeker. "I see this position as an opportunity to have a real impact on the economy and communities in the region and to fulfill that responsibility not only to industry partners and businesses, but also to the students enrolled in WSC's CTE programs."
Nebeker's areas of expertise and oversight include the integration of technology into educational settings as well as educational improvement through instructional coaching.
"Kenley brings a solid academic and technology background to WSC and our regional TrainND operation," explained WSC President Dr. John Miller. "In addition, his managerial style and interpersonal skills will fit very well with our current staff and our identified strategic goals for TrainND."
Dr. Miller currently oversees TrainND until Nebeker steps in.
Nebeker will be joined in Williston by his wife, Jen, and his son, Liam. He succeeds Pamela Rasmussen who transitioned from TrainND in September.
