Nash and Hawkey selected All-Conference; Nash is Most Valuable Player
Teton guards Blake Nash and Derik Hawkey were selected by the conference coaches as All-Conference performers. Nash was voted the Conferences Most Valuable Player. Hawkey was selected to the 2nd Team.
Nash, a 6'0" point guard from Casa Grande, AZ has lead the team in scoring all season and is currently averaging 22 points per game. Hawkey, 6'1" guard from Sturgeon Bay, WI, has played well in the Conference season after being limited the first half of the year by an injury. He is second on the team in scoring at 13 per game.
"For both Blake and Derik, the selection is well deserved. We're proud of their performances in helping to lead our team to a successful season. We expected great things from both of them at the beginning of the year and they have performed," says Coach Hunter Berg.
This season marks the second consecutive season the Tetons have had the Conference MVP. Luke Martinez was selected the MVP in the 2009-2010 season.
