Groundbreaking planned for new TrainND location in Williston

WILLISTON, N.D. - TrainND Northwest is celebrating the upcoming TrainND-Northwest Center with a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, May 6 at 11 a.m. The site is located next to the Petroleum Safety and Technology Center at 421 22nd Ave. NE. Refreshments will be served.

The 19,740 sq. ft. building will serve as a regional workforce training and education center. The facility will provide a space for training classes, business meetings, and other events. It will also be home to a commercial kitchen, computer lab, and nursing lab.

TrainND Northwest CEO Deanette Piesik is excited for the new building and the opportunities it will provide for area businesses. "The new Workforce Training Center building has been a dream for many years.  We are very excited to have all of the Williston staff together in one location where we will have access to all of the training equipment that has been donated by oil and gas companies over the past 10 years," she said.

"This training center is the result of businesses, agencies, the State of ND, NDUS, and the WSC Foundation all working together to fund this project," said Piesik. "Finally all of the work has come to fruition."
