First ever full-time athletic director hired at WSC

WILLISTON, N.D.-Dan Artamenko will begin his official duties as full-time Athletic Director for Williston State College on August 1st.  

This is the first time there has ever been a full-time athletic director at Williston State College. With 6 sports, a large budget, a successful booster club, and a group of progressive coaches, the administration and cabinet felt it necessary to have a full-time athletic director.

Artamenko's duties will be to oversee the entire athletic department, booster club, fundraising efforts, and serve on the executive cabinet at WSC.

Terry Olson, Executive Director of the Williston State College Foundation, said, "Dan came to the top from a very solid group of 20+ applicants. His experience in the national junior college office and experience as an assistant athletic director/athletic coordinator at Blinn College in Texas was the kind of experience we were looking for to move our athletic program in a new era."

Artamenko stated, "I am humbled and honored for the opportunity to lead the Athletic Department at Williston State College. The overwhelming support of the community and the vision of the administration makes Williston State an ideal destination. I am excited to continue building this support and enhance the Teton brand within the area."

Artamenko and his wife are excited about becoming an active part of the Williston region and community. "I would like to thank Dr. Nadolny and Terry Olson for their trust and support and I am looking forward to working with the administration, faculty, and coaches at Williston State," said Artamenko.
