City Band Announces Summer Concert Dates

WILLISTON, N.D. – The Williston State College City Band’s free summer concert series will begin on Tuesday, June 14, and will continue through to Tuesday, August 2nd.
The first concert will be held at noon, on Flag Day, at the First International Bank & Trust in downtown Williston. The remaining concerts will be at the Virgil Syverson Performance Center in Harmon Park and begin at 7:30pm on Tuesdays until the last week in July. The Korner Lions will be at the park to sell burgers and chips during performances.
The final performance will be on August 2, at 7:30pm, at the Bethel Lutheran Home.
Rehearsals for this ensemble take place on Tuesday evenings at 5:30pm (Before the 7:30pm performance) on Williston State College’s campus in Stevens Hall room 216. Musicians of all skill levels and ages are encouraged to join.
“The WSC City Band is a group comprised of musicians from Williston and surrounding areas. Members include current WSC students, former students, future students, area music educators, and music enthusiasts, “ said Associate Professor of Music, Dr. Kyle Norris.
The City Band plays for different events throughout the year, ranging from concerts in Harmon Park to performing the national anthem around town.
