WILLISTON, N.D. - Last spring, CHI St. Alexius Health of Williston donated seven hospital beds to the Williston State College (WSC) Nursing Department.
"With a donation to our foundation, we were fortunate enough to update our facility with new beds and donate the older beds to the College" noted Lori Hahn, Vice-President of Patient Care Services at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston and WSC Nursing program advisory board member.
The donation allowed the WSC Nursing Department to update its skills lab and two simulation rooms. CHI St. Alexius Health Williston has had a long-standing relationship with WSC and its Nursing program.
"We are very grateful for the generosity of the hospital and the partnership that we have developed over the years," stated Gail Raasakka, WSC Nursing Program Director. "The collaboration between WSC and CHI St. Alexius Health Williston is beneficial not only to WSC nursing students but also to the community of Williston as a whole as many of our graduates are working at CHI St. Alexius Williston."
The hospital also hosts a Skills Fair, where students practice common medical protocols.
