CDL Training

The Commercial Driver’s License Program (CDL) is a four-week, 165-hour course that meets the new FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulations. This comprehensive program provides students the opportunity to learn from experienced instructors both in the classroom and behind the wheel. Students will learn key commercial driving concepts and skills with hours of driving practice on the road, backing range, and in various driving conditions. Upon successful completion students will be prepared and scheduled to take the state regulated CDL test. Students who are ready and successful in obtaining their CDL License prior to end of course are eligible to take offered post-CDL modules with job specific training.

CDL Training- Fast Track

The Fast Track Commercial Driver’s License Program (CDL) is a two-week, 120-hour course that meets the new FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulations. This comprehensive program provides students the opportunity to learn from experienced instructors both in the classroom and behind the wheel. Students will learn key commercial driving concepts and skills with hours of driving practice on the road, backing range, and in various driving conditions. Upon successful completion students will be prepared and scheduled to take the state regulated CDL test. Students who are ready and successful in obtaining their CDL License prior to end of course are eligible to take offered post-CDL modules with job specific training. 

CDL- Hazardous Material for H Endorsement

The CDL-Hazardous Material (HM) Training is an 8-hour course that meets the new FMCSA Part 380 Appendix E, certification of training requirements prior to DOT theory testing for Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulations. This comprehensive program provides students the opportunity to enhance their knowledge from experienced instructors in the classroom on hazardous material requirements for CDL drivers. Driver-trainees seeking an H endorsement, as defined in §383.93(c)(4), must complete this curriculum to take the State-administered knowledge test for the H endorsement.    

Commercial Learner's Permit Prep

The Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) Prep course is an 8-hour course developed to prepare students to take the North Dakota State DOT CLP test. This comprehensive course provides students the opportunity to learn from experienced instructors both in the classroom and hands-on with our trucks and trailers. Content covered in this course is General Knowledge, Airbrakes, and Combination Vehicles from the NDDOT Commercial Driver’s License Manual.
