WSC offering new classes for Community Education
WILLISTON, N.D. - The Spring/Summer 2014 Community Education booklet is now available to the public. The booklet is available in both print and digital form and contains information on upcoming Community Education classes.
Classes are held at WSC, and those interested are invited to register either in-person at the Crighton Building on campus, or online at www.willistonstate.edu/trainnd. Registration is required, some classes fill up more quickly than others, so people are encouraged to sign up early.
New classes include a course in German language, Mexican-themed cooking classes, lefse making, and two classes in knitting. These classes are now available along with dozens of other courses. There is certainly something for everyone.
Current Community Education classes are available in a number of areas. Everything is covered from foreign languages such as Spanish, Chinese, and Norwegian for children; leadership and communication classes in coaching, customer service, and delegation; wine, beer, and champagne tasting; technology courses including digital scrapbooking, Excel 2013, and QuickBooks; and pet classes like obedience training and pet first aid.
There are also two classes designed to help children: 'Bully Proof Your Kids' and 'How to Raise Safe, Happy, and Confident Kids.' And for mothers in need of some time for themselves: 'Mommy Self-care.'

Community Education classes are a fun and exciting way to learn new skills and meet new people. "Our classes offer lifelong learning," says Kim Wenko, marketing manager for TrainND. "We offer a variety of activities for people to get involved with the community and learn something fun and new."
Community members with skills or hobbies they think would make an interesting class are also encouraged to contact Community Education, and it is possible they could share their knowledge in a classroom setting and get paid for it.
