Williston, ND — Williston State College is proud to recognize students Eva Vicha and Kylie Keller for their outstanding achievements as members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the premier honor society for two-year colleges. Their dedication to academic excellence, leadership, and community service exemplifies the core values of PTK.

Eva Vicha, a Williston native and sophomore at WSC, is pursuing both an Associate of Science and an Associate of Arts degree. A dedicated PTK member for the past three semesters, Eva plans to continue her education at a four-year university, where she intends to major in Psychology. A former competitive gymnast, she hopes to return to the sport at the university level. Outside of her studies, Eva enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family?.

Kylie Keller, also from Williston, has demonstrated remarkable leadership within PTK, serving as the president of the Alpha Rho Iota chapter. She will graduate this spring with Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees before transferring to the University of Mary to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. Kylie has a passion for working with children, having taught classes at her local church and worked extensively as a babysitter and nanny. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog?.

“Eva and Kylie exemplify the leadership, scholarship, and service that Phi Theta Kappa represents,” said Dr. Katie Renville, M. Ed., PsyD, Assistant Professor of Psychology and PTK Co-Advisor.  "Their dedication to academic excellence and their contributions to our campus community have set an outstanding example for their peers. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and excited to see where their futures take them."

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society recognizes and encourages academic achievement among students at two-year colleges while providing opportunities for leadership development and service. WSC’s Alpha Rho Iota chapter continues to foster a culture of excellence, thanks to students like Eva and Kylie.
