WILLISTON, N.D. - The Williston State College Foundation will host an open house at their new location, on the first floor of the Foundation Apartments, located in the same building as Jimmy John's and the DMV, on Tuesday, November 15 from 1-4:00 p.m.

Terry Olson (Executive Director), Hunter Berg (Director for Alumni Relations & Athletics), Carmin Klein (Associate Director), and Kim Gratz (Office Manager) welcome the Williston community to stop by 721 East Highland Drive Suite E and share a cup of coffee and have a something sweet to eat.  

Originally located on the north side of the WSC campus, the WSC Foundation is a nonprofit agency that manages donations made by community members and alumni to the College and its students.  

Governed by an independent board of 11 directors that meets monthly, the WSC Foundation has created scholarships such as the Williams County Graduate Scholarship and the newly expanded Regional County Scholarship.  

Funded through the Alva J. Field Trust, the Williams County Graduate Scholarship will cover tuition and fees for up to four consecutive semesters (excluding summer) for eligible Williams County high school graduates and GEDs earned in Williams County (no matter the year of graduation).  

Though similar to the WCG Scholarship the 2017 Regional County Scholarship is not affiliated with the Alva J. Field Trust and is only available to recent high school graduates and GED's earned in Burke, Daniels, Divide, McKenzie, Mountrail in Northwestern North Dakota, and Richland, Roosevelt, Sheridan, or Valley Counties in Northeastern Montana in 2017.  

"The WSCF invests in our students and in Williston State College. That is our mission and the wishes of our donors," explained Olson. "We have been blessed to have such generous donors who believe in the WSC Foundation."
