Williston, ND — Williston State College (WSC) has received a $7,500 grant from the Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) Caring Foundation to support programming and equipment for new and expanded Nursing and Allied Health programs.
The grant provides general capital support to enhance student learning through modernized lab spaces, hands-on training equipment, and updated instructional resources. These enhancements will help ensure that students in WSC’s healthcare programs are prepared to meet the region’s growing demand for skilled professionals in nursing and other allied health fields.
“This generous support from the BCBSND Caring Foundation strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality, hands-on training opportunities for our students,” said Dr. Bernell Hirning, President of Williston State College. “As we expand our healthcare offerings, partnerships like this play an essential role in helping us meet the workforce needs of our community and the state.”
WSC’s continued investment in healthcare education aligns with statewide efforts to address healthcare workforce shortages and provide accessible, affordable pathways for students to enter high-demand careers.
