Williston State College nursing graduates achieved 100% first-time pass rates on both the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN exams, continuing WSC’s record of excellence in nursing education.
Williston State College (WSC) has again delivered perfect outcomes on the national nursing licensure exams. This cycle, graduates of WSC’s Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) recorded a 100% first-time pass rate on the NCLEX-RN, and Practical Nursing (PN/LPN) graduates earned a 100% first-time pass rate on the NCLEX-PN.
The results stand out in context: North Dakota’s overall pass rate is higher than the national average—and WSC’s results top even the North Dakota average.
“I am beyond proud of these graduates,” said Gail Raasakka, MSN, RN, CNE, Dean of Nursing and Allied Health, noting that sustained success reflects student dedication alongside the combined work of WSC and Dakota Nursing Program (DNP) faculty. “Our faculty put student learning first, challenge students to think critically, and develop safe clinical judgment—and it shows in the NCLEX results.”
WSC’s continued perfection across both programs signals more than test readiness. It highlights a culture of preparation—from classroom rigor to clinical experience—designed to send graduates into the workforce able to contribute on day one. The practical takeaway for patients and employers is straightforward: graduates are demonstrating the knowledge and judgment required for safe, effective care.
WSC’s Nursing & Allied Health division notes that the achievement spans both degree pathways this year—ADN (RN) and PN (LPN) at 100% first-time pass—maintaining momentum from recent cohorts and reinforcing the program’s role as a dependable talent pipeline for western North Dakota and the region.
