WILLISTON, N.D. - TrainND Northwest will host its third annual Disaster & Emergency Preparedness Symposium from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 26 at its Workforce Training Center located at 415 22nd Avenue Northeast.

This year's presenters will focus on various topics including ALICE (Alert-Lockdown-Inform-Counter-Evacuate) active shooter training, DAPL (Dakota Access Pipeline) Lessons Learned, Human Trafficking, Williams County Community Resources, Hazardous Materials Spill Response, Risk/Vulnerability Assessments, and the impact of hazardous waste being dumped into public landfills.
Who should attend?
- - Public service employees

"We encourage individuals to attend to learn about state and community services available in the event of an emergency and to start the conversation between industry and public services about how to effectively prepare for natural or intentional disasters," explained Tanya Vachal, Business Relations and Sales Manager at TrainND Northwest.
