Built by Students, Ready to Work: Williston State College Welding Program Trailer Raffle Returns

Williston, ND — Williston State College is once again giving community members a chance to win a student-built utility trailer while directly supporting skilled trades education through the annual WSC Welding Program Trailer Raffle.

This year’s raffle features two high-quality trailers, fabricated from the ground up by WSC welding students as part of their hands-on training:

  • A 10-foot utility tilt trailer (10’ x 6’4”) with a 3,500-pound capacity
  • A 12-foot utility trailer (12’ x 6’6”) with a 5,200-pound capacity

Each trailer reflects the real-world skills students develop in the Welding Program—precision, durability, and attention to detail—while giving participants a practical, hard-working trailer suitable for personal or professional use.

Tickets are $25 each, with proceeds going directly back into the Welding Program to support instructional materials and class activities. Purchasing a ticket is not considered a charitable donation.

“This raffle is about more than giving someone a great trailer—it’s about giving our students meaningful, hands-on experience,” said Tim Delorme, Welding Program Instructor at Williston State College. “When people buy a ticket, they’re investing in the next generation of skilled trades professionals and helping us continue offering the kind of real-world training that employers value.”

The raffle drawing will take place on May 11, 2026, at 12 p.m. in the Western Star Building, located at 1414 University Avenue on the WSC campus. Winners do not need to be present to win. To purchase raffle tickets, individuals may call Tim Delorme directly at 701-774-4272. Tickets are available for a limited time.

By purchasing a ticket, participants not only gain a chance to win a professionally built trailer—they also help ensure WSC welding students continue receiving hands-on, career-ready training that strengthens the local workforce.
