WSC Student Ambassadors

WSC Ambassadors are a select group of students who interact with prospective students, parents, alumni, and the community as a means to recruit. Ambassadors are official representatives of the college and this position is held in high honor. Members will represent student leadership in an articulate manner, promote the positive image of the college, and respond to the college's needs.

Why become a student ambassador?

  • Gain valuable leadership skills within the college
  • Develop networking opportunities, which will be an asset when continuing on career path
  • Be a part of a dynamic, highly visible service organization
  • Build skills in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and public relations
  • A scholarship (provided by the WSC Foundation) awarded every semester if program requirements are met and maintained


  • Giving campus tours to prospective students and their families
  • Attend Ambassador meetings and training sessions
  • Assist Enrollment Services with events both on-campus and off-campus such as college fairs, local high school visits, group visits to campus, registration days, even preparation, etc.


  • Participate in training and attend scheduled meetings
  • Maintain GPA and credit requirements (2.5 minimum GPA)
  • Have sufficient time to actively participate in Ambassador activities
  • Meet or exceed minimum tour/event requirements
  • Represent the college in a positive, professional manner
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Maintain a level of confidentiality congruent with program goals
