Course Drop

This procedure allows a student the ability to drop some courses (not all courses); however, students will still maintain enrollment in some courses for the semester.

Note:  Please check to see if your account has any holds that could affect your ability to drop from a course.

Complete the steps below to drop a course(s):

  1. Review the Dates and Deadlines for your class or classes you wish to drop.
Note: This will need to be completed based on term dates and deadlines.

  2. If necessary, for assistance in the drop process, use the WSC Registration Guide.

  3. Drop the class using CampusConnection
The date of your drop will determine if you receive a "W" grade on your transcript.

Drop with a "W Record"
When you drop a class before the last day to drop a class with a "W Record," you will receive a "W" on your transcript to indicate you were enrolled in a course and withdrew from the course. No credits or grades are earned. Dropping a class with a "W Record" is GPA neutral: instead of a grade, you receive a W notation on your transcript which does not bring in grade points (or credits). The class and W remain on your schedule and transcript.
Please review our "W Record" Grades FAQ for more information.
